Fearfully and wonderfully made
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Let’s face it; we all have parts of our bodies that we wish we could alter. Some women dislike their thighs, others their nose and others their body shape. But do you know that you are still fearfully and wonderfully made. When God created you, He made you exactly the way you are. When you dislike anything about yourself, what you are unintentionally saying is, “God did not make me beautiful. He made a mistake when He was creating me.” Below are a few tips that will help you like yourself. It’s time to celebrate you:
1) Realize that you are unique. There is no one else like you on this planet earth and they will never be. You are one of a kind.
2) Begin to celebrate yourself. If you are not already celebrating yourself, you are just tolerating yourself and that’s not good enough. Recognize that the master thought about you before He created you. He sat down and carefully designed you.
3) Hang around people who celebrate you. If you are hanging around people who look down on you and always telling you that you are not marvelous my advice to you is change your circle of friends. Get together with people who delight in you and watch your self-esteem reach the next level.
4) Stop comparing. Comparison is a trap. As long you are wishing you had her eyes, or her smile, you will never accept yourself.
5) Look after yourself. You don’t always have to look the best but you should always look your best. Make the most of what you have and you will soon begin to feel better about yourself.
